A great thing for a college student can do is to get involved with the community around them, and an excellent way to do that is through student clubs. TheEccles School provides numerous opportunities for engagement, including more than 30 student clubs and organizations.
All students are invited to explore remarkable leadership opportunities to serve the Eccles Community as student employees. No matter your current level, sharpen your skills with leadership development opportunities and resources.
Business Scholars at the Eccles School bond with their cohort, gain real-world business experience, and are some of the brightest up-and-comers in the business world.
Eccles Global Learning Abroad (EGLA) is the learning abroad program for the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. Eccles Global is committed to creating a safe, affordable learning abroad program to engage students in worldwide business education that instills the skill set students need to compete internationally. Our programs are unique in that all of our classes are taught by the same top-ranked faculty at the Eccles School. Students, staff, and faculty spend one week to one semester studying business with an international focus. Students often participate in weekend excursions and make lifelong friends.
All students at the University of Utah are welcome to participate in programs, workshops, competitions, and more at the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, a top-ranked and interdisciplinary division of the David Eccles School of Business. Participating is a great way to learn by doing, launch a company, join a team, and have some fun.
All students are welcome to live at Lassonde Studios and join the Lassonde 400 residential group. Residents live in the middle of it all and get additional access to tools and programs. Lassonde Studios is a five-story home for student entrepreneurs, innovators, and creators at the University of Utah. The priority application period to live here for the 2021-22 academic year is Oct. 1, 2020, to Jan. 15, 2021.
Pitch your startup or product idea at these regular events for a chance to receive seed funding for your new venture. All university students in Utah are welcome.
Participate in the Make program at Lassonde Studios to learn how to use prototyping tools and see your idea come to life! Tools include 3D printers, laser cutters, a wood shop, and more.

The two-semester Goff Scholars program allows students to
The Goff Scholars program offers a unique, cross-disciplinary class open to juniors and seniors from every school/major on campus that allows for deep dives into multiple projects. The Goff Scholars course is a two-semester, six-credit hour program reserved for students with a minimum 3.5 GPA. University of Utah students from any college and major who are interested in unlocking their strategic leadership potential are encouraged to apply. Students selected to participate will receive a $1,000 scholarship award per semester for a total of $2,000 in scholarship funds.
Goff Trailblazers is a one-semester, project-based course for Spring Semester 2021. The program is open to students with any experience and skill level, and a minimum GPA of 2.8. University of Utah students from any college and major are encouraged to apply. Students selected will receive a $1,000 scholarship award for the semester they participate.
Lassonde+X is an introductory academic program for all undergraduate students from all backgrounds and majors (the X) to explore and practice entrepreneurship. It is provided by the David Eccles School of Business and Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute at the University of Utah, which have an entrepreneur program ranked among the top 10 in the nation.

The Eccles School offers a variety of specialized master’s degrees – business graduate programs that are focused in one area of business.
