2022 CUBS/NUBS Conference Call for Proposals
We are thrilled to welcome this group of undergraduate business and career professionals to the University of Utah for the 2022 NUBS & CUBS Conference on March 22- 24, 2022.
As we collectively look to reconvene, reconnect, and re-imagine, the conference planning committee needs your input. We want to know how you, your students, and your institutions are addressing challenges that face us today. What are the best practices that you are implementing to create positive change? How has your unit navigated change management during the COVID pandemic and beyond or centered justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in its work? How are you preparing your students to enter a changing workforce and economic landscape? How have you succeeded in cultivating an impact in your area?
While we anticipate and hope to host the conference in-person, health and safety of everyone involved remains a priority. Presenters (and attendees) will need to have the ability to pivot to a virtual presentation should the uncertainty and changing landscape of the pandemic shifts us online. We will accommodate virtual presenters.

Delivery of Sessions
You may propose any of the following formats below, or propose an alternative format as part of the Call for Proposal Submission Form. All sessions will be 60 minutes, including Q&A in length.
Lecture-Based Presentation
- Share lessons learned, best practices, or research related to CUBS or NUBS. This traditional presentation format offers the presenter an opportunity to present in detail on an idea, project, or experience.
Facilitated Discussion Session/Roundtable
- Discussion sessions are opportunities for cross-campus sharing of challenges and solutions through guiding conversational prompts. The facilitator may include a short overview presentation in the beginning to set the stage for further conversation. The facilitator should actively engage participants in dialogue about the proposed topic, creating opportunities for participants to learn from each other.
Information to Include When Submitting a Proposal
Brief Description of Session
- Provide a short description of the session to be used in promotional materials [website, program]. Please remember that—should your proposal be accepted—a participant’s decision to attend your session will be based, in large part, on this description. It should be accurate and as compelling as possible.
Expected Learning Outcomes/Objectives
- Describe or list the outcomes with which you hope the audience members will leave the session (i.e., the “takeaways”)
- Relevance to CUBS / Industry / Profession
- Biography of Presenter(s)
- Additional Notes for Selection Committee to Consider
