Employment Trends with Eccles Experts
COVID-19 has proved to be not only a health crisis, but an economic one. Thankfully Utah has fared better than most, in large part thanks to the Eccles School’s Maclean Gaulin and Nathan Seegert. The pair have worked tirelessly to provide policymakers data and analysis through the Utah Health and Economic Recovery Outreach, or Utah HERO, project. These efforts provided the most reliable data in the world — in real time — to Utah policymakers. And now they are sharing their findings with the public. As part of their work, the pair developed the Eccles Household survey and Eccles Business survey. These surveys provide policymakers and Utahns the pulse of the economy, with monthly published reports. [read more]
Employer partner highlight: our Maverik friends
When it comes to career building at the Eccles School, Maverik is all in. Not only did their corporate donation help to fund the Business Career Services suite in the beautiful Garff Business Building, their recruiting team consistently makes in-person and virtual networking events a key part of their recruiting strategy, all while building the “coolest convenience experience on the planet.”

In a recent poll, 25% of graduating seniors reported going hungry at least once during the previous year. Student need for basic essentials also continues to grow.
