What was your most memorable experience as an Eccles student?

I’m glad to have had the opportunity to work as a Teaching Assistant. I got to interact with 60+ of my peers with diverse academic, professional and cultural backgrounds and learnt from each of them. I was told by a friend that we all were different kinds of smart, I understood it distinctly through these conversations. This experience taught me that the best way of learning is teaching someone since it takes nearly 100% preparation. Having spent hours researching to answer a single question, my respect for teachers have increased multifold. Now, whatever I learn, I learn it as if I have to teach someone and in fact I grab any opportunity to discuss what I learn. Thank you Professor Jeff Webb for the opportunity and mentorship.

What clubs, competitions, and/or activities did you participate in?

Being an international student was quite demanding. I participated in very few activities since most of my time went into part-time work and the challenging 3-semester MSBA program. I participated in the Silicon Slopes Tech Summit, Game Day Analytics Challenge, a few Machine-Learning workshops and obviously all the MSBA/MSIS hikes and drop-in dinners!

What was your favorite class?

Data Mining
