Internships and Careers

Not only did I learn about resume-writing and interview preparation, but how to do research about the company ahead of time and to prepare in other ways. The professionalism the program teaches helped me stand out and make a good impression.

A designated counselor in Business Career Services is assigned to each Business Scholars to assist in obtaining internships, and long term career placement. The BCS professionals specialize in the various majors to ensure each student gains advice that is relevant to a tailored career path.

Business Career Services works hard to establish new and cultivate long-standing relationships with employers in Utah and Nationwide. BCS professionals meet with students to identify interests and establish career goals. They also assist with internship search skills, resume development and interview preparation.

A unique benefit for Business Scholars is having a career management professional attend domestic and international site visits, work to establish contacts while at these visits, and follow up to encourage employers to contact us with job and internship opportunities. Employers understand that the Business Scholars are exceptional candidates for opportunities; often requesting applications from Business Scholars met during visits.

International Internships

An additional resource for students is the Office of Global Engagement. Qualified students have the opportunity to apply for internships abroad. Business Scholars work closely with the Office of Global Engagement in order to find internships in line with career goals.
