No, we do not offer conditional admission. All required exams must be taken before we will issue an admission decision.
The University of Utah requires four years of college/university coursework as a minimum requirement for admission into a graduate program. Most students who earned a three-year bachelor’s degree are required to complete additional college coursework to fulfill this requirement. For details on this policy and specific information about your situation, please contact the International Admissions Office at IAO@SA.Utah.edu or 801-581-3091.
After you submit your application, International Admissions officers will evaluate your transcripts and convert your GPA to a 4.0 scale. This GPA conversion will not be done until you have submitted your application (including copies of your unofficial transcripts) and paid the application fee.
Our office does not conduct pre-evaluations for applicants. However, class profiles and statistics are provided in our program overview. This information can help you determine whether you would be a competitive applicant.
If possible, please upload your financial documents with your application. Otherwise, we will require your financial statement at time of admission.
Please refer to the University Tuition and Financial Aid information page to find non-resident tuition rates.
