Fast Track Application

Are you an accounting student at the Eccles School with strong cumulative and accounting GPAs? If so, you may qualify for the MAcc fast track application.

Fast Track application allows students to waive the following requirements on their MAcc program application:

  • Letters of Recommendation
  • 2 Personal Response Questions

Requirements for Fast Track Application

Fast track applicants must complete all MAcc Prerequisites (5000-level accounting core classes) at the University of Utah.

Fast track applicants must maintain a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.30. If your cumulative GPA is below a 3.30, you may calculate your GPA for your last 60 credit hours.

Fast track applicants must have at least a 3.5 GPA in your accounting prerequisite courses. Your accounting GPA is calculated using only the seven 5000-level accounting prerequisites. If you have completed all seven prerequisites by the application deadline, one grade may be dropped from the calculation, but you must have at least a 3.5 GPA in six of the seven courses. To calculate your accounting GPA, use the University’s GPA calculator.

Fast Track application does not guarantee admission. All admission decisions are subject to approval by the MAcc admissions committee.

If you completed the prerequisites at another institution, you may qualify for preferential application.
