Program Description

The central question of this strategic management course, and of much of strategy research over the past thirty years is Why do some firms outperform others?  You will learn business-level strategy theory and how to apply it to real business situations presented in the lecture videos and course exercises.

The class will explore questions such as “What is the structure of the video game industry?”; “What is a disruptive innovator – really – and how should my company respond to one?”; and “Are Pandora and Spotify viable businesses?” among others.
