Classes are held in the new Robert H. and Katharine B. Garff Building at 1731 E. Campus Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84112.  We look forward to hosting you there!

Which hotel do you recommend?2018-05-04T14:30:55-06:00

We recommend staying close to campus for your stay. The University of Utah Guest House is rated #1 by travelers on TripAdvisor and is a short walk from our classrooms. You may also take a free university shuttle from the hotel to class. The Salt Lake City Marriott University Park is nearby and has a free on-demand shuttle that can take you to campus.

If you prefer to stay downtown, we recommend Salt Lake City Marriott Downtown at City Creek, The Little America Hotel, or The Grand America Hotel.

Will there be any homework?2018-05-04T14:18:52-06:00

Most instructors assign a few articles to read prior to the start of class. These articles will be emailed to you about 2 weeks before the first day of class. There is occasionally a small amount of work to do between class days.

To receive Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification, you will be required to complete a real-world project that will take a considerable amount of time.

The dress code is business casual.

Most classes run with 15 to 30 participants.

A class may be cancelled in circumstances of low enrollment. In the unlikely event of a cancellation, payment will be refunded in full.

Is credit given for attending a class?2019-07-22T15:37:57-06:00

No, we only offer non-degreed classes.* Many of our classes qualify for SHRM recertification credits, and a letter of completion may be received upon request to receive additional professional certification credits where applicable.

*University of Utah MBA students may receive credit for completing Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

No, our classes are all open enrollment, meaning anyone can register to participate. There are no educational or work experience requirements. If you aren’t sure if you are a good fit for our classes, please speak with a class consultant.

Are discounts or scholarships available?2019-08-08T12:39:03-06:00

Discounts are available to the following groups:

  • University of Utah alumni: 10%
  • Groups of two or more: 10%
  • University of Utah Executive Education & MBA alumni: 15%
  • Non-profit organizations: 20%
  • University of Utah full-time employees: 50%*

Something came up and I can no longer attend. Can I cancel or postpone my registration?2018-05-07T14:04:56-06:00

On-Campus Classes
All cancellations must be sent in writing to ExecEd@Utah.edu. A full refund may be received with 30 days notice before the start date. All cancellations with less than 30 days notice are subject to a 10% cancellation.

You may reschedule your registration to a later date at no charge with 30 days notice. Postponements with less than 30 days notice will be subject to a $50 rescheduling fee.

You may transfer your registration to another individual at no charge.

Online Classes
No refunds will be given for online classes after access to the online learning environment has been granted.

On-Campus Classes
Payment is due 30 days prior to the start of the program or upon registration if less than 30 days prior to the start of the program. A secure payment link is included with your invoice. Contact us for help paying your invoice.

Online Classes
Online classes are on-demand, meaning you can start at any time. You will receive course materials and gain access to the learning environment within one business day of registration and payment confirmation.

Do veterans receive funding?2020-01-03T09:59:27-07:00

The University of Utah is a military friendly school and participant in the yellow-ribbon program. Coverage varies per individual situation. Additional information about military funding, including the GI Bill, can be found through our Veteran’s Center.
