The mission of the School of Accounting is to prepare graduates for positions of leadership in business.
To achieve our mission, we strive to:
- Create a learning environment that emphasizes scholarship, social responsibility, and a commitment to the accounting profession, and prepares its students for further education or productive careers by establishing the foundations for life-long learning.
- Create a research environment for faculty and doctoral students that is productive, collegial and intellectually stimulating, resulting in significant intellectual contributions in basic and applied scholarship and in instructional development, and doctoral graduates who become innovators and leaders in accounting research.
- Provide significant service and leadership to the accounting profession, the David Eccles School of Business, the University, the community and academic organizations.
